Additional Services
Alongside our routine Alpaca MOT services, we offer a selection of additional services to support your herd throughout the year. Whether you need microchip implantation, pregnancy confirmation, or extra handling assistance during shearing. These services can be booked as standalone appointments or added to your Alpaca MOT visit where appropriate.
Microchipping
All alpaca should be microchipped, as this is the primary method of identification and registration.
While owners can implant microchips themselves, if you’re not confident, we can do it for you.
We take care of everything, supplying the AVID chip and providing implantation to ensure your animals are correctly identified and registered.

Consultations
Our consultation services provide tailored advice and support at every stage of your alpaca journey.
Whether you’re establishing a husbandry plan, purchasing alpaca, or seeking support with behavioural challenges, we offer practical guidance based on experience and current best practice.
Set Up Support:
Looking to start your alpaca journey?
We offer an unbiased and experienced perspective as you prepare your property and plan for your herd.
From fields, fencing and shelters to herd size, nutrition and husbandry plans, we can help you create the right setup before your alpacas arrive.
Behaviour & Training Consultation:
Providing guidance, structure, and a practical plan to progress with training and improving behaviours.
We work in short, structured bursts at the alpaca’s pace, typically over 1–2 hours of handling.
This consultation is a foundation-setting session rather than a full training outcome in one visit, though further visits can be arranged if additional support is needed.
This typically includes:
-
Discussion of handling history and previous training
-
Equipment and halter check
-
Behaviour and handling assessment
-
Hands-on training with all alpaca as required
-
Introduction of lead training principles
-
Desensitisation work
-
Low-demand positive interactions on lead rope
-
Personalised progression plan for continued handling after the visit
