"When it comes to alpaca husbandry, welfare and health management, you can put your full confidence in Charles and Beth.
Back in 2022/23, we were dependent on Charles and Beth for care of our alpacas while they were in agistment and quarantine prior to export to Spain. Without Charles and Beth’s diligence and routine care, our alpacas' well-being would certainly have declined. Charles and Beth were not only proactive when it came to their nutritional needs and supplementation, but kept on top of their vaccinations, vitamin drenches and parasitology checks.
Toenail clipping is something that needs to be done regularly (3-4 times a year) and with some of our herd, especially the males, it can be quite the challenge to get them to stay still and calm. Charles and Beth, as a team duo, are wonderful at reassuring the herd and at an animal level getting them to respond well to the task being undertaken. They have a natural camelid intuition that other handlers just don’t possess and a remarkable respect for each individual alpaca; making the overall process and experience for both us as owners and our alpacas streamlined and stress-free.
Their years of working with alpacas really shine through when you see them hands-on with the alpacas, and they are brilliant at making suggestions to improve our processes and biosecurity.
They are also phenomenally responsive to inquiries and in my time of need during my first birthing season, they provided me with guidance on Cria care.
